Nothing too exciting here this week! We seem to have settled into a routine that we all seem to be enjoying. A fairly relaxed breakfast / reading time, then school work, some reading and playing, then lunch. After lunch we typically head out for the afternoon for at least a few hours....the outing typically includes a park, often some errands, sometimes exploring town. This week things seemed to go smoothly all around.
We met our friends at a new park yesterday afternoon -- it was on the opposite side of the Danube from where we live and typically spend our time. The views of the city from that riverbank were gorgeous! I should've snapped a few pictures, but I was too cold. Next time!
After that we met Doug at the Old Market Hall again, this time for an early dinner. In addition to their weekly Saturday vendors, apparently they do a food truck fair once a month. We were interested in checking that out. We tried several tasty things and it was fun to check out.
Today the weather was just terrible and we had a fairly lazy and relaxed day. We went to the grocery store this afternoon and tried some yummy pastries as an afternoon snack, but otherwise we pretty much stuck around the apartment all day, which was unusual and felt pretty nice.
Our biggest news is that several members of the McKechnie crew are coming to visit us tomorrow! Doug's mom, 2 sisters, and one of our nieces all arrive in Vienna tomorrow night and we cannot wait to see them!! We head to Vienna tomorrow morning and will spend the day there and meet up with them in the evening. We will spend Sunday in Vienna together before heading back here on Sunday evening. We are so excited to see them all and can't wait to spend time with them and show them around Bratislava! Many more pictures and recaps to follow next week, I am sure.
