This morning the weather was lovely, so we went into town and walked across the SNP bridge, which spans the Danube.

This is a picture of the Slovak Restaurant (in case you couldn't tell from the name!!! ;) ) where Doug and I ate with Ann and John last week.
Just some of the delicious baked goods that are in all the grocery stores.
When checking out of Tesco today, we decided to be brave and attempt the self-checkout. Never again. We didn't have very many purchases to make, the check out unit had an English option, and all we had to do was scan items.....and yet employees had to come assist us FOUR separate times!! They were not even attempting to hide their laughter. We seriously have no idea what we were doing wrong and Doug and I couldn't stop giggling.
Nearing the end of the shopping expedition....
We have been having lots of headaches and aggravation surrounding paying our rent. It is too tedious and frustrating to detail here and there have been numerous complications and general hoops to jump through. The latest hurdle involves our own bank account. Insert eye roll here. Please keep your fingers crossed that tomorrow is the day that we can successfully --and finally-- pay our rent!
